COMPASSIONATE CAREIndividual ADHD Therapy
A dedicated space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional who genuinely cares about your wellbeing across Atlantic Canada & Ontario.
The FoundationWhat is individual ADHD therapy?
Individual ADHD counselling is a confidential, one on one space where you can explore how ADHD shows up in your daily life, emotions, routines, and relationships. It is a place to understand your brain and patterns without pressure or judgment.
Many people with ADHD also experience anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or burnout. Counselling helps you make sense of these experiences and understand how they connect to your nervous system, your history, and the demands of your daily life.
With the guidance of an ADHD informed therapist, you can develop tools that support both your mental health and your day to day functioning, creating meaningful change in the areas that matter most to you.

Your Therapy JourneyWhat to expect
Session Structure
Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes, held weekly or bi-weekly depending on your needs and preferences. We create a consistent schedule to support your progress.
Therapist Match
If you don't feel a connection with your assigned therapist after 1-2 sessions, we can facilitate a match with a different provider.
Your Pace
There's no "right" way to do therapy. We move at your pace, addressing what feels most important to you in each moment. You're always in control.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is sacred. Everything discussed in therapy is completely confidential, with very limited legal exceptions (such as immediate danger to yourself or others).
Backed By ResearchWhy individual ADHD therapy works
Personalized support
Your therapist focuses on your experiences and how ADHD shows up in your daily life. Every strategy is tailored to your strengths, challenges, and goals rather than a one size fits all approach.
Being truly understood
Many people with ADHD have spent years feeling misunderstood or dismissed. Having someone listen, validate, and help you make sense of your patterns can create powerful change.
Strong research foundation
Evidence based therapies used in ADHD counselling have been shown to improve focus, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and overall well being. Research consistently shows that a supportive therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of progress and growth.
Common concerns
-
No. Therapists are trained to meet you with unconditional positive regard. We've heard it all, and our role is to understand, not evaluate.
-
That's completely normal, especially early on. Your therapist will help guide the conversation and ask questions that create space for reflection. Therapy isn't about performing.
-
There's no fixed timeline. Some people find relief in 8-12 sessions; others work with a therapist for years. We'll regularly check in on your progress and goals.
